When selecting laser safety glasses it is important to understand the relevant laser safety standards for the country they are being used in. The US laser safety standards are different from the European, Australian and International laser safety standards. 

European standards require the eyewear to be marked with L ratings, OD ( Optical density) , wavelength and VLT (visible light transmission).
