 The LG-338 laser safety glasses are designed to provide broad-spectrum protection across multiple commonly used medical and industrial laser wavelengths. These include Nd:YAG lasers operating at 1064 nm, Alexandrite lasers at 755 nm, and frequency-doubled green YAG lasers at 532 nm. The eyewear also covers extended near-infrared and visible regions, offering protection from 190 nm up to 1079 nm.

Optical Density and Coverage

The LG-338 lenses are marked with the following optical densities (OD), showing the level of laser attenuation at each wavelength band:

  • 980–1064 nm: OD 7+

  • 190–534 nm: OD 7+

  • 750–760 nm: OD 7+

  • 720–770 nm: OD 5+

  • 770–850 nm: OD 4+

  • 925–1070 nm: OD 6+

  • 850–1079 nm: OD 5+

These optical densities indicate the lens’ ability to block laser radiation across overlapping spectral regions, particularly those used in Nd:YAG and Alexandrite systems.

L-Ratings and Certification

The L-ratings (EN 207/208) indicate the protection levels under specific laser exposure conditions:
