LG-003 532nm & 1064nm Nd:YAG Laser Safety Glasses

Nd:YAG lasers are widely used across dermatology, tattoo removal, research laboratories, manufacturing, and laser surgery. Because these lasers operate at high power levels and invisible beam wavelengths, selecting the correct eye protection is essential for both operator and patient safety. The LG-003 Nd:YAG Laser Safety Glasses are designed to protect against the full range of Nd:YAG wavelengths, including both 532 nm and 1064 nm, using high-density optical filtration and certified laser resistance testing.

Optical Density Requirements for Nd:YAG Systems

Nd:YAG lasers can operate in multiple modes, including Q-switched, long-pulse and continuous wave. The LG-003 eyewear delivers OD 7+ protection at the most clinically relevant wavelengths:

  • OD 7+ at 1064 nm

  • OD 7+ from 190–532 nm

  • Additional extended coverage:

    • OD 6+ from 925–1070 nm

    • OD 5+ from 850–925 nm

An OD 7 level represents attenuation of ten million times (10,000,000×), providing protection suitable for high-energy Nd:YAG systems. These values directly align with professional safety requirements in medical, aesthetic, industrial, and research fields.

CE-L Rated Testing

Beyond optical density numbers, EN207 L-ratings verify that the eyewear is tested to withstand direct laser exposure, not just filtered light. The LG-003 glasses demonstrate several high rating categories, including:

  • D LB7 + R LB4 (180–315 nm)

  • D LB5 + IRM LB6 (>315–534 nm)

  • D LB6 + IRM LB7 (>980–1064 nm)

This level of certification confirms resistance to continuous, Q-switched, and pulsed Nd:YAG systems.

Visibility and Comfort

Despite high filtration levels, the LG-003 maintains a 35% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), allowing clear visibility of work areas, patient skin tone, targeting beams, and procedural instruments. The frame is designed for professional use, with:

  • Fit-over compatibility for prescription glasses

  • Adjustable and flexible construction for long-term comfort

  • Vented design to reduce fogging in clinical environments

Compliance and Safety Standards

The eyewear meets or exceeds major global laser safety requirements:

  • ANSI Z136 (USA)

  • U.S. FDA

  • CE / EN207/208

  • AU/NZ Laser Standards

Each pair includes protective accessories and a 24-month frame warranty.
