Lasers used for cleaning applications typically produce wavelengths of 1064nm or 1080nm. The high power levels used, requires very high optical densities of 7+ or more. The LG-001 laser glasses are a good option for use with 1064nm and 1070nm fiber lasers with an OD 7+. In addition to the high level of protection they also provide excellent visible light transmission (VLT) of 59%. The L ratings, wavelengths and optical densities are written on the glasses which are required to meet US laser safety standards. If attenuation of the bright visible glow is required where the laser hits the surafce then the LG-998 laser glasses have an OD 10+ at 1064nm and reduce the vcisible glow by 87%.
